What Happens Inside an AI Model?
Understand the main ideas behind inference, representations, and model computation.
An AI model transforms an input into an output through a sequence of computations defined by its architecture and learned parameters.
For modern neural models, the input is represented numerically before it is processed through multiple computational layers. Each layer transforms the representation and passes the result to subsequent operations.
The final output depends on both the input representation and the parameters learned during training.
Thinking about inference as a deterministic computational process helps separate what a model actually computes from the broader behavior of an AI application.
